Smash punk, pop, grunge, crunch, twang & bbq sauce...like Nirvana doing the soundtrack for "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou"...grey themes about ordinary stuff...sometimes funny...assuming you view the purpose of life as the experience...joy, pain, bliss, sadness, slap-happy...but not boredom...apathy and indifference are death...which comes soon enough...too soon for some...not soon enough for a few...just in time if yur lucky...meanwhile have a yee-haw yippee good time...give some of yourself to other folks, just keep enough to preserve your sanity...play music because you love it...brush your teeth if you still have 'em...sweep your dirt floors and replace the corn cob before the guests arrive...and after a long day trying to assemble one working vehicle from the parts of five others, grab yourself a cold bud, pull that lottery ticket from your back pocket, scratch those six little circles and...

Live Show Review
The Rusty Nail
(by Chris, owner)

GRAND SCHEME - A 3 PIECE BAND WITH PLENTY OF POP.  AN ALTERNATIVE , UNDERGROUND SOUND SIMILAR TO THE STONE TEMPLE PILOTS OR THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES BANDS.   A SOUTHERN SINGER FROM TENNESSEE FUELED THE BAND WITH GOOD STAGE PRESENCE AND VERY IMPRESSIVE GUITAR ABILITIES.  THE BAND HAD A GOOD CROWD SHOW UP FOR THEM AND ALL OF THEM WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL.  THE SET MOVED QUICKLY WITH MOSTLY ORIGINAL SONGS , BUT I DID DIG THE NIRVANA SONG.  I REALLY FELT THAT SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY AS ALL THE BAND MEMBERS WERE POLITE AND IT SPILLED OVER INTO THEIR PERFORMANCE BY VIEWING THEM FROM THE STAGE.  THE SOUND CHECK WAS LOUD BUT THEY TURNED DOWN ( SOMETHING RARE THAT BANDS DO ) AND IT WAS A SOLID SET.  I REALLY ONLY HAVE ONE CRITIQUE.  THE LEAD GUITAR ( ALSO SINGER ) IS VERY TALENTED AND I WOULD OF LIKED TO SEE ALITTLE MORE GUITAR SOLO'S.   THERE WERE FLASHES OF IT THAT MADE HIS GUITAR SING THE WORDS ALONE ON ITS OWN.  BESIDES THAT.....I REALLY DUG THIS BAND.
